Pupil Voice
Children and staff in Bankton Primary School work together to affect positive change and improvement throughout the school.
Every child is part of their Class Council.
Each week, during Class Council meetings, pupils discuss topics important to their class and take on regular challenges set by Mrs Ferguson, Mrs Evans, and Mrs Murdoch.
Some of these challenges have included creating a Playground Charter together, finding ways to lower the cost of the school day, and discussing an updated relationships strategy.
We also have Barri Besties - a group of Rights Respecting Champions, from across the school, working with members of staff to promote an environment which recognises and respects the rights of every child as set out in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
